In 1688 Kurfurst Johann Georg III agreed to provide a 10,000 Corps to defend the Reich from French invasion (October 1688, a camp at Torgau):

- Leibtrabantengarde zu Ross, Generalwachmeister von Reitschuts, 203 men
- 4 Reiterei regiments: Leib, Haugwitz (according to Beust - Plotho), graf Bronne, Promnitz. Each regiment was of 6 coys in 3 squadrons, totaled 602 men

- 6 Infanterie regiments: Leib, FML Flemming, GL Herzog Christian, GWM Reuss, graf Zinzendorff, Kuffer. Each regiment was of 10 coys in 2 battalions, totaled 1 171 men.

Beust also mentioned two converged battalions of grenadiers, but I doubt in them.
Artilerie, Obristleutanant Georg Ernst von Borau
Schuster mentioned 19 pieces in 1688. Heyne wrote, that Saxons had 6 6-pdr (casted in 1683), 6 3-pdr (casted in 1659), 16 mortars (Granatstucken) & 2 petards. The artillery personnel was around 300 men.
The total strength was 10,810 men, incl. 248 men of Kurfust's retinue.

In the beginning of 1689 three more regiments were raised: Prinz Friedrich August & FML Flemming Reiterie & Riedesel Dragoner. Artillery staff was converted into a single Frei-compagnie of 140 men. Also Johann Georg made an agreement with Dukes of Sachsen-Gotha, Eisenach & Weimar, that they would provide a Reiterie regiment of 6 coys (66 men per one) & two Infanterie regiments of 8 coys each (100 men per one). Including the reinforcements Saxon troops totaled 15,540 men (7 Reiterie, 2 Dragoner, 8 Infanterie, Artilerie) in campaign of 1689. They participated in the siege of Mainz (link) & then took winter-quarters in Swabia.

In June of 1690 Saxons created two converged grenadier battalions of 600 men each. Reiterie & Dragoner received new staffs. Now a company was of 73 men, 450 per regiment. Also a new staff of Artilerie was introduced: 16 officers, 4 Zeugdiener zu Ross, 3 Zeugdiener zu Fuss, 11 Petardierer & Feuerwerker, 17 Konstabler, 27 Schneller, 15 Handwerksleute, 12 Schirr- & Wagenmeister, 232 Knechte - total 308 men. It gives a total of Saxon troops of around 14,000. They were at Heilbronn (link) & then in the camp at Eppingen. In the end of 1690 Saxon troops returned home.
